The law

Are you a dog owner? If so, are you aware that as of 06 04 08 it was no longer the duty of the Police to deal with stray dogs? A change in legislation handed over the sole responsibility in dealing with stray dogs to local authorities.

"We promote responsible

dog ownership"

About us

How we began

Dun-Roamin' was originally created with the change of law in mind. Working on behalf, and with the consent of local authorities within the Midlands area, as Dun-Roamin' Stray Dog Collection & Animal Services (A registered business) we reacted to any reports of straying dogs whether they have been captured or were still on the loose, 7 days a week, 8.30am to 10.30pm.

When a stray dog has failed to be claimed by it's owners, where it is possible, as Dun-Roamin' Rehoming (A registered charity No.1152712) we will work tirelessly to find a place for the animal at another, reputable rescue or match it to somebody seeking a companion.

In keeping to our slogan of "promoting responsible dog ownership", we also offer additional services that are available to everyone. Without our intervention, many of these strays would end up being put to sleep. That's another dog paying the price for a bad owner, so we aim to redress the balance.
